Georges Rouault, Escape to Egypt, high-resolution photograph

The Panasonic Shiodome Museum of Art has a collection of approximately 260 paintings and prints by the French artist Georges Rouault (1871-1958) from his early to late years. As part of this research, high-resolution photographs of Rouault's works were taken. The high-resolution images of Rouault's paintings show the layers of paint, the brush strokes, and the texture of the oil paint, capturing Rouault's subtle expression in his paintings. The images are used for the museum's research and studies, as well as for explanatory and introductory films.
