Mika Ninagawa Exhibition with EiM: Light Beyond the Horizon, Shadows on This Shore Official Catalog

Mika Ninagawa, one of Japan's leading contemporary photographers and film directors. This is the official catalog for her largest-scale exhibition to date in the Kansai region, “Mika Ninagawa Exhibition with EiM: Light Beyond, Shadow Here” (Kyoto Ceramic Art Museum, January 11, 2025–March 30, 2025).

The first half of the book features 60 pages of newly shot photographs taken by Nakahara herself at the exhibition venue,
while the second half includes detailed explanations and documentary photographs of all 10 exhibited works.
Additionally, the production notes, realized through in-depth interviews, offer a glimpse into the process of creating the exhibition, accompanied by photographs, as Nakahara and the EiM team members worked together.

The catalog includes essays by Takahashi Shin'ya of the Kyoto Ceramic Art Museum, novelist Kanbara Hitomi, and the late curator Yamamine Jun'ya, who passed away suddenly in January this year.
